Mayfield had already won seven in a row and they went ahead and made it eight on Friday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Medina Battling Bees.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-19, 23-25, 25-17.

Mayfield found their leader in freshman Bobby Mickshaw, who had ten digs and four aces. Those four aces set a new season-high mark for Mickshaw.

Mayfield pushed their record up to 14-2 with the victory, which was their ninth straight on the road. As for Medina, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Mayfield is set to take on their familiar foe Mentor at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Medina will square off against rival Brunswick at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
