The Dawson County Tigers's homestand will continue as they prepare to take on the Chestatee War Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dawson County will be strutting in after a victory while Chestatee will be coming in after a loss.

Dawson County is headed into the game fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They walked away with a 12-8 win over South Forsyth on Saturday.

Ace Cochran made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Cochran was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Bryce Greenwood was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with a home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those runs marked the first that she's scored this season. Avery Heidt was another key contributor, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and a run.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Dawson County was hitting in the alleys and finished the game with five doubles. That's the most doubles they've earned since back in September of 2023.

Meanwhile, Chestatee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 15-7 to East Jackson.

The victory got Dawson County back to even at 3-3. As for Chestatee, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.
