Softball Recap: Baldwin Finds Home Field Redemption Against Trinity Catholic

There's no place like home for Baldwin, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 12-2 margin over the Trinity Catholic Celtics on Thursday. With that win, the Indians brought their scoring average up to 6.6 runs per game.

Baldwin got a great performance from Lilly Hubbard as she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. What's more, Hubbard posted three strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March of 2024.

At the plate, Kendall North was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs, one triple, and one double. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Jazmine Ramos-Merced was another key player, scoring a run while going 4-for-4.

Baldwin was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .448. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Trinity Catholic only posted a batting average of .211.

Baldwin now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Trinity Catholic, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-4.

Baldwin wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 13-3 victory against Mandarin on the 28th. As for Trinity Catholic, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Trenton on the 4th.
