Person proved they can win big on Friday (they won by three) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a set and slipped past the Carrboro Jaguars 3-2. The victory was familiar territory for the Rockets, who have now won three contests in a row.

Person took Carrboro into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-17, 25-22, 21-25, 15-11.

Person had a senior duo take command as Alex Fuller had 24 digs and five assists and Logan Hurdle had 13 digs and two aces. Fuller has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last six times she's played.

Carrboro's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hayley Royal, who had 20 digs and four aces. Another player making a difference was Ellie Erliene, who had 11 digs.

Person's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Carrboro, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-3.

Coming up, Person will head out to square off against Orange at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Carrboro, they will host Chapel Hill at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
