Gwynedd Mercy Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Methacton Warriors, falling 18-8. On the bright side, the eight- run effort marked the Monarchs' highest-scoring game to date.

Natalie Kelley made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Carrie Lewis also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Gwynedd Mercy Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Methacton, the win keeps they at an undefeated 6-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gwynedd Mercy Academy will challenge Villa Maria Academy at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Methacton, they will take on Pennridge at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
