Basketball Recap: Ruby Davis Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat University School of Jackson

Legend's tournament run continued when they took on University School of Jackson on Thursday. The Titans managed a 52-48 win over the Bruins. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Titans' disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 69th in Colorado, while the Bruins are ranked 16th in Tennessee).

Legend got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ruby Davis out in front who shot 63% from the field on her way to 11 points in addition to six boards and three blocks. Davis is on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 63% in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Maile Starns, who posted 11 points along with five assists and five rebounds.

The victory got Legend back to even at 3-3. As for University School of Jackson, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.

Legend has already played their next contest (against Cedar Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for University School of Jackson, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Ensworth at 2:30 p.m. on the 29th.
