Basketball Recap: Forest Hill Comes Up Short

Forest Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost to the Lake Worth Christian Defenders on the road by a 70-56 margin. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Falcons of the 87-79 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

Despite the loss, Forest Hill saw an underclassman step up: freshman Angel Ortiz went 6 for 13 on his way to 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tim Grice, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 12 points and six rebounds.

Forest Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Lake Worth Christian, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-4.

Forest Hill didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 56-52 victory against Leonard on the 28th. Lake Worth Christian has also already played their next match, a 61-42 win against Somerset Academy - Canyons on the 28th.
