Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Franklin's Eighth in Last Nine Outings

Franklin won the last time they faced Pisgah and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Franklin Panthers came out on top against the Pisgah Bears by a score of 75-62. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 155th, while the Bears are ranked 434th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Franklin's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jack Jack Teesateskie, who went 9 of 18 on his way to 25 points and five boards. With that strong performance, Teesateskie is now averaging an impressive 15.4 points per game. Another player making a difference was Max McClure, who went 7 for 13 en route to 18 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.

Franklin was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pisgah only racked up seven assists.

Several Bears players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mason Putnam, who went 8 of 13 on his way to 24 points. Putnam's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dominick Messer, who went 6 for 12 en route to 15 points and six boards.

Franklin has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.7 points per game. As for Pisgah, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.

Franklin has already played their next game, a 55-43 win against North Henderson on the 31st. As for Pisgah, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 59-51 victory against West Henderson on the 31st.
