Soccer Game Preview: Timber Creek vs. Byron Nelson

The Timber Creek Falcons will venture away from home to take on the Byron Nelson Bobcat at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Timber Creek is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.

If Byron Nelson heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Timber Creek took over last week. Timber Creek had just enough and edged Southlake Carroll out 1-0 on Tuesday. The Falcons wouldn't have won without Diego Espinoza, who scored the game-winner.

Meanwhile, Byron Nelson beat Trinity 3-1 on Wednesday.

The victory got Byron Nelson back to even at 2-2-1. As for Timber Creek, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 4-3-1 record this season.

Timber Creek beat Byron Nelson 4-2 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Timber Creek since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
