Soccer Recap: Sandburg Comes Up Short

While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Lincoln-Way West Warriors who were credited with the victory. The Lincoln-Way West Warriors got it done in the shootout by posting six goals to the Sandburg Eagles' five. Sandburg were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Lincoln-Way West apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Sandburg's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Lincoln-Way West, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-5-1 record this season.

Sandburg will face off against Shepard at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Lincoln-Way West, they will challenge Lockport at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
