It was fun while it lasted, but Enterprise's undefeated season came to an end after 16 games on Thursday. They fell just short of the Providence Christian Eagles by a score of 11-10. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Wildcats, who until this game were averaging 3.12 runs allowed.

Brady Richardson led a balanced group of hitters, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Mikey Vanderheyden, who went 2-for-5 with one home run and four RBI.

Richardson wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Enterprise lost a few balls and finished the game with four home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Enterprise fell to 16-1. As for Providence Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 5-10.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Enterprise Wildcats duke it out with Bartlett Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Providence Christian, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Wicksburg at 5:00 p.m.
