Having struggled with eight defeats in a row dating back to last season, Panther Creek turned things around against Enloe on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 7-1 margin over the Eagles. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Catamounts have posted since March 26, 2024.

The team relied heavily on Chandler McDaniels, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Matsuura, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Panther Creek always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .542. The last time their OBP was this high was since the start of last season.

Meanwhile, Athens Drive started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Green Hope. They fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 11-10 on Friday. The loss was the Jaguars' first of the season.

Miguel Delgado and Shota Sharman stepped up to the plate in a big way. Delgado scored a run while going 3-for-4, while Sharman went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. The dominant performance also gave Delgado a new career-high in hits (three). Another player making a difference was Anderson Hanes, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

Having lost for the first time this season, Athens Drive fell to 2-1. As for Panther Creek, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Panther Creek suffered a grim 6-0 defeat to Athens Drive when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can Panther Creek avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
