Preview: Summerville Bears vs. Calaveras Red Hawks
Summerville has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Calaveras Red Hawks at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
Last Friday, Summerville lost to Sonora at home by a decisive 58-40 margin.
Meanwhile, Calaveras didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Bret Harte on Friday, but they still walked away with a 50-46 victory.
Calaveras' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mason Moser led the charge by scoring ten points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Moser hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Corbin Curran, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Summerville has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost nine of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Calaveras, their win bumped their record up to 10-12.
Summerville opened the new year with a less-than-successful 65-58 defeat to Calaveras. Can Summerville avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
