Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for West Lincoln

West Lincoln entered their tilt with Draughn on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 4-1 win over the Wildcats. For the Rebels, this counts as revenge for the 10-5 victory the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

Gabrielle Wright spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Stacia Cowan, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

West Lincoln hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are 8-2 when they post two or more strikeouts.

West Lincoln's record is now 13-8. As for Draughn, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-5 record this season.

West Lincoln will be playing at home against Lincolnton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Draughn, they will venture away from home to face off against Burns at 6:00 p.m. on the 23rd.
