Recap: Russellville Indians vs. Stover Bulldogs
Even though the Russellville Indians have not done well against the Stover Bulldogs recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Russellville slipped by Stover 48-47. This was payback for Russellville, who suffered a 53-36 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Despite the defeat, Stover had strong showings from Ashlyn Pinzke, who scored 21 points along with 3 steals, and Hannah Bauer, who scored 17 points. The match was Pinzke's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn Black, who scored 4 points along with 6 rebounds.
Russellville's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Stover, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Russellville will take on Branson on Thursday. As for Stover, they will head out on the road to face off against Iberia at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Missouri (Iberia is ranked 182nd, while Stover is ranked 175th).
