Powell faced Worland in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Panthers' defense stepped up to hand the Warriors a 3-0 shutout. Powell might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by three goals or more this season.

Ivy Agee and EmEry HErnandEz scored all three of Powell's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 24 goals.

Powell's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those four contests. As for Worland, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Powell will face off against Lander Valley at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Worland, they are taking a road trip to challenge Newcastle at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
