Softball Recap: Skyline's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Skyline entered their tilt with Bothell on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Cougars 16-6. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by seven runs or more this season.

Devyn Wilson was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Shea Staley, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

Skyline hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive matches.

Skyline pushed their record up to 14-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Bothell, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.

Skyline didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 14-3 victory against Lake Washington on the 18th. As for Bothell, they have also already played their next matchup, a 12-9 defeat against Juanita on the 18th.
