Football Recap: Law Lawmen vs. Xavier Falcons
Law gave up the first points on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They slipped by the Xavier Falcons 28-27. For the Lawmen, this counts as revenge for the 23-7 victory the Falcons walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2023.

A big part of Law's win came down to the chemistry between Matthew Witteman and his top target Hunter Kendzierski. Witteman threw for 285 yards and one TD while completing 76.2% of his passes while Kendzierski gained 171 total yards and four touchdowns. Those 285 passing yards gave Witteman a new career-high. A healthy portion of Witteman's aerial production (83 yards to be exact) went to Brian Gonzalez.
Despite the loss, Xavier still got an impressive performance from Oli Obi, who rushed for 63 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also picked up 59 receiving yards.
Law has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 38.0 points this season. As for Xavier, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Law will face off against Killingly at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Xavier, they will challenge Norwich Free Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
