Softball Recap: Colonial Forge Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Colonial Forge's offense. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mountain View Wildcats on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Eagles' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Colonial Forge's loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Mountain View, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Colonial Forge is set to square off against their familiar foe Riverbend at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Mountain View will challenge rival Stafford at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
