Volleyball Recap: Slidell's Victory on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Slidell entered their tilt with Northshore on Wednesday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Panthers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 two weeks ago.

Slidell was especially dominant in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-27, 25-23, 25-15.

Ella Kate Spilling was nothing short of spectacular: she had 40 digs. Those 40 digs gave her a new career-high.

Slidell's win bumped their record up to 22-5. As for Northshore, the loss snapped their winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 12-8 record.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Slidell will square off against rival Covington at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Northshore is set to challenge their familiar foe Hammond at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
