Volleyball Recap: Mcconnellsburg Turns Things Around After Road Loss + How To Watch

There's no place like home for McConnellsburg, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Mount Union Trojans with a sharp 3-0 victory on Tuesday. The Spartans were shut out 1-0 the last time they took on the Trojans, so the Spartans were just returning the favor.

Despite the loss, Mount Union saw an underclassman step up: freshman Harper McCormick had six digs and four aces. McCormick is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served three or more in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Hicks, who had four digs and two aces.

McConnellsburg's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Mount Union, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Coming up, McConnellsburg will square off against James Buchanan at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Mount Union has already played their next match (against Tussey Mountain), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
