Football Game Preview: Fort Walton Beach Vikings vs. Navarre Raiders

Fort Walton Beach hasn't had much luck against Navarre recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Vikings will head out on the road to take on the Raiders at 7:00 p.m. Fort Walton Beach's defense has only allowed 9.7 points per game this season, so Navarre's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Last Monday, Fort Walton Beach came up short against Crestview and fell 18-6.

Meanwhile, Navarre unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 24-18 to Choctawhatchee. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 80th, while the Indians are ranked second).

Although Navarre took the loss, they still got scores from Avery Didion, Aubrey Piehota, and Breanna Shaw.

Navarre's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Fort Walton Beach, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

Fort Walton Beach couldn't quite get it done against Navarre when the teams last played back in February as they fell 14-7. Can the Vikings avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
