After a string of three wins, Shippensburg's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell just short of the West Perry Mustangs by a score of 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Greyhounds have suffered since March 21st.

Shippensburg's loss dropped their record down to 4-8-1. As for West Perry, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Shippensburg will challenge rival Big Spring at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, West Perry is set to face off against their familiar foe James Buchanan at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Mustangs 3.8, the Rockets 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
