Volleyball Recap: Northglenn Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Northglenn unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Pomona Panthers on Thursday, falling 3-0. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it eight in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-20, 25-14.

Gabbie Leialoha paced Northglenn's offense, picking up seven kills. Leialoha were helped by Hailey Kay Frawley and Alejandra Franco, who contributed four assists each. Aleana Madera controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Northglenn will hit the road for the first time this season to take on Greeley Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pomona, they will host Westminster at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
