Basketball Game Preview: Spirit Lake Indians vs. Worthington Trojans

Spirit Lake and Worthington are an even 3-3 against one another since February of 2018, but not for long. The Spirit Lake Indians will venture away from home to square off against the Worthington Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Spirit Lake and 13 for Worthington.

Last Friday, Spirit Lake came up short against Cherokee Washington and fell 63-51.

Meanwhile, Worthington lost a heartbreaker to Waseca when they met back in February of 2024, and they left with a heavy heart again on Friday. Worthington fell to Waseca 60-56.

Worthington's loss dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Spirit Lake, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-5.

Spirit Lake strolled past Worthington in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 by a score of 71-52. The rematch might be a little tougher for Spirit Lake since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
