Soccer Recap: Pewaukee Takes a Loss

If Pewaukee was feeling good fresh off their 4-1 takedown of Greenfield on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pirates came up short against the Monona Grove Silver Eagles on Saturday, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, Pewaukee can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin soccer rankings (they are ranked 136th, while Monona Grove are ranked 33rd).

Pewaukee has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Monona Grove, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-1-2 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pewaukee will welcome Pius XI Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Monona Grove, they will take on Oregon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
