Baseball Recap: Roncalli Comes Up Short

Roncalli lost against Brillion back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Jets came up short against the Lions, falling 9-3.

Roncalli saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hayden Dewane, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Roncalli has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games. As for Brillion, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-3.

While Roncalli had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
