Vista Murrieta gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They blew past the Great Oak Wolfpack 38-14. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Broncos as it put an end to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season.
Vista Murrieta can attribute much of their success to Bryson Beaver, who threw for 264 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.6 yards per attempt. AJ Jones was Beaver's top target, picking up 60 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Vista Murrieta didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Mikey Medina, Jett Bunch, and Joshua Banks picked up one apiece. Joshua R Baker was another major factor on D, making ten total tackles (2.0 for loss).
Although Great Oak took the loss, they still got scores from Mikey Vazquez and Cris Scott.
