Basketball Recap: River Valley Comes Up Short

River Valley lost against Roseville back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The River Valley Falcons fell 81-70 to the Roseville Tigers. The Falcons' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

When it comes to explaining why River Valley lost, don't look at Jai Chohan. Despite the final result, he went 10 of 17 on his way to 23 points. Those 23 points gave Chohan a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Yuvraj Dosanjh, who went 6 for 13 en route to 13 points and three steals.

Roseville's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Matthias Howard, who went 10 of 13 on his way to 25 points and seven rebounds. Oreste Yong was another key player, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 15 boards.

River Valley's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Roseville, their record now sits at 11-7.

River Valley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 52-41 victory against Yuba City on the 16th. As for Roseville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 67-52 win against Del Campo on the 16th.
