With a playoff win on the line, Springwood rose to the challenge on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Fort Dale Academy Eagles a 5-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Springwood, who have now won 11 contests by three goals or more so far this season.

The win made it two in a row for Springwood and bumps their season record up to 13-2-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two matches. As for Fort Dale Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.

Coming up, Springwood will take on Ezekiel Academy at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Fort Dale Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
