Basketball Recap: Northridge Takes a Loss

Northridge was the 49-45 winner over Viewmont when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Northridge Knights took a 57-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Viewmont Vikings on Wednesday.

Viewmont's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mara Mickelson, who went 8 of 18 en route to 24 points. The dominant performance gave Mickelson a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mary Carr, who posted 14 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals.

Northridge's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Viewmont, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northridge has already played their next contest (against Woods Cross), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Viewmont has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Bonneville.
