Baseball Recap: Fitzgerald Comes Up Short

Fitzgerald was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 21-4 to the Mott Marauders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Spartans of the 11-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2017.

Fitzgerald saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dylan Bush, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one double.

Fitzgerald's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Mott, their win bumped their record up to 4-6.

Coincidentally, Fitzgerald and Mott will both be playing Sterling Heights the next time they take the field. The Spartans will head out to face the Stallions at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Marauders will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
