Recap: Alliance Bulldogs vs. North Platte Bulldogs

The Alliance Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight defeat. They received a tough blow as they fell 50-33 to North Platte. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Alliance of the 52-24 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaelynne Clarke, who scored seven points along with 14 rebounds and five assists. Clarke hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Macey Seebohm, who scored nine points along with five steals.

Clancy Brown continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for North Platte, dropping a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Brown is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Addison Uehling, who scored five points along with six rebounds.

Alliance has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for North Platte, the win got them back to even at 6-6.

Alliance won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Tigers at 3:30 p.m. on January 26th. Sterling is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for North Platte, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Bearcats at 3:30 p.m. on January 26th. Scottsbluff is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
