Basketball Recap: Friday's Loss Ends Silver Creek's Winning Streak

Silver Creek and Seymour squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Silver Creek had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Seymour Owls by a score of 57-54. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Dragons have suffered since January 9, 2024.

Silver Creek lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Brandon Hunter, who posted 12 points and seven assists. He is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played. Dane Caldwell was another key player, going 5-for-7 to rack up 12 points and eight rebounds.
