Northwest dropped their record down to 7-3 on Saturday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 9-1 to the Howell Highlanders. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Mounties have suffered since May 10, 2024.

Northwest saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ari Good (2025), who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

As for Howell, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 18-11-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games.

On Howell's side, Allison Ulanowski spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits. Ulanowski has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Addison Caldwell was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. Clem Stevens was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Looking ahead, Northwest will square off against Pennfield at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Howell, they will face off against Columbia Central at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
