Basketball Recap: Creighton Takes a Loss

Creighton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 47-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wausa Vikings. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Vikings earlier this season, when they won 49-40.

Wausa got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Olivia Barta out in front who posted five points along with six steals and five rebounds. Taylor Dawson was another key player, putting up 14 points and five steals.

Creighton's loss dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Wausa, their record now sits at 9-10.

Creighton will welcome Bloomfield at 6:00 p.m. on February 13th. As for Wausa, they will venture away from home to take on Homer at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Homer will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Wausa surely won't give up without a fight.
