Basketball Game Preview: Brookeland Wildcats vs. Jonesboro Eagles

Landon Smith was his usual excellent self, going 9-for-18 en route to 26 points and four steals. His evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Cade Morgan, who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten boards.

Meanwhile, Jonesboro escaped with a win on Tuesday against Richland Springs by the margin of a single free throw, 52-51.

Jonesboro has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points over those games. As for Brookeland, their victory bumped their record up to 26-7.
