The Uxbridge Spartans will challenge the Advanced Math & Science Academy Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Uxbridge barely beat Doherty Memorial the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Spartans put the hurt on the Highlanders with a sharp 13-2 win on Wednesday. The victory was just business as usual for the Spartans, who after five games remain undefeated this season.

Erin O'Day made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 20 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. Those 20 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. That stolen base marked the first that she snagged this season.

In other batting news, Bailey Dzivasen was incredible, going 3-for-5 with two runs, two doubles, and one triple. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Keira Paul, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Uxbridge was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .436. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Doherty Memorial only posted a batting average of .087.

Meanwhile, Advanced Math & Science Academy put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Assabet Valley RVT as they made off with a 21-3 win. That looming 21-3 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Eagles yet this season.

Ava McLeod was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Advanced Math & Science Academy got a massive performance out of Grace Galvin, who scored three runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Guilamina Yost, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Uxbridge pushed their record up to 5-0 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.3 runs over those games. As for Advanced Math & Science Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.
