Volleyball Recap: St. Edward Comes Up Short + How To Watch

St. Edward was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Genoa-Kingston Cogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Green Wave of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-18.

St. Edward's offense was headlined by Francesca Buono and Sam Pogorzelski, who picked up three kills apiece. Pogorzelski really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with nine.

St. Edward's loss dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Genoa-Kingston, they pushed their record up to 15-9 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. St. Edward will head out to take on Chicago Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Genoa-Kingston, they will venture away from home to face off against Rockford Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
