Volleyball Recap: St. Edward Comes Up Short + How To Watch

St. Edward was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Genoa-Kingston Cogs. The Green Wave were not able to make up for their loss to the Cogs from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-18.

St. Edward's offense was headlined by Francesca Buono and Sam Pogorzelski, who picked up three kills apiece. Pogorzelski really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with nine.

St. Edward's defeat dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Genoa-Kingston, they pushed their record up to 15-9 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

St. Edward wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Chicago Christian on the 30th. As for Genoa-Kingston, they have also already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Rockford Christian on the 30th.
