Softball Game Preview: Bay Path RVT Minutemen vs. Doherty Memorial Highlanders

Bay Path RVT is 0-3 against Doherty Memorial since June of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Minutemen will welcome the Highlanders at 3:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Bay Path RVT lost 22-7 to Montachusett RVT on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Minutemen have suffered against the Bulldogs since April 25, 2022.

Savannah Steiner made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI.

Meanwhile, Doherty Memorial came up short against Advanced Math & Science Academy on Thursday, falling 13-1. The Highlanders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Doherty Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Bay Path RVT, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8.

Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Bay Path RVT hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.7 home runs per game. However, it's not like Doherty Memorial struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.4 home runs.
