Soccer Recap: DePaul Cristo Rey Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for DePaul Cristo Rey's offense. They lost 8-0 to the Mariemont Warriors on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, DePaul Cristo Rey can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 470th, while Mariemont is ranked 49th).

DePaul Cristo Rey has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6-1 record this season. As for Mariemont, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. DePaul Cristo Rey will welcome Woodward at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mariemont, they will look to defend their home pitch on Saturday against Bethel-Tate at 12:00 p.m.
