Baseball Recap: South Fayette Comes Up Short

South Fayette fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Peters Township on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 11-8 to the Indians, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The defeat continues a trend for the Lions in their meetings with the Indians: they've now lost three in a row.

South Fayette now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Peters Township, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

South Fayette will take on Morgantown at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Mohigans will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight. As for Peters Township, they will challenge North Allegheny at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
