Basketball Game Preview: Union County Yellowjackets vs. Broome Centurions

Union County and Broome are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2019, but not for long. The Union County Yellowjackets will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Broome Centurions at 6:00 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Tuesday, Union County came up short against Mountain View Prep and fell 42-31. The Yellowjackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Broome was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 52-46 to Woodruff. While the Centurions didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Wolverines 19-8 in the first quarter.

Broome's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Union County, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-12.

Things could have been worse for Union County, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 60-44 loss to Broome in their previous matchup on January 14th.
