Baseball Game Preview: Palmview Lobos vs. Martin Tigers

For the second straight game, Palmview will face off against Martin. The Lobos will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. Palmview will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.

Palmview came out on top against Martin on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run second inning. The Lobos walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Tigers.

The team relied heavily on Mario Cantu, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Adrian Garza also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Palmview pushed their record up to 18-6 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Martin, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-8-1.
