Baseball Game Preview: Cascade Bruins vs. Arlington Eagles

The Cascade Bruins will head out to face off against the Arlington Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Cascade's hitters haven't had much luck over their past four matchups, but Friday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

Cascade fell victim to Meadowdale and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 27-0 to the Mavericks.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Arlington challenged Mountlake Terrace on Monday. The Eagles came up short against the Hawks, falling 10-1. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Hawks recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Arlington got a good showing from Vance Jewett, who tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Jewett has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Easton Aalbu was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and one run.

Arlington's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Cascade, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-12.

Cascade skirted past Arlington 8-6 when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Will the Bruins repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
