Baseball Game Preview: Water Canyon Wildcats vs. Enterprise Wolves

For the second straight game, Water Canyon will face off against Enterprise. The Wildcats will square off against the Wolves at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Water Canyon has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the match with 14 straight losses, while Enterprise will come in with four straight wins.

Water Canyon lost 19-1 to Enterprise on Tuesday.

For Enterprise's part, Treyson Whitman and Kyler Randall made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Whitman struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). Meanwhile, Randall pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances. At the plate, Whitman scored three runs while going 1-for-3, while Randall scored three runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Those three runs gave Whitman a new career-high.

In other batting news, Enterprise got a massive performance out of Javin Randall, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs Randall has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Klint Bundy, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and four RBI.

Enterprise was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .640. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in four consecutive contests.

Enterprise's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-5. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Water Canyon, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.
