It was a good run, but Crimson Cliffs unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Maple Mountain Golden Eagles.

Crimson Cliffs got a good showing from MADDEN SMITH, who struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off five hits.

At the plate, JACKSON WITTWER was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that he hit this season.

Crimson Cliffs' loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Maple Mountain, the win keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Coincidentally, Crimson Cliffs and Maple Mountain will both be playing West Field the next time they take the field. Maple Mountain will head out to face West Field at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, while Crimson Cliffs will play them later in the day, at 3:30 p.m.
