Basketball Recap: Madison County Snaps Nine-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Strasburg, Madison County was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They took down the Stonewall Jackson Generals 39-24. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 56-23 last Monday.

Madison County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ally Cave out in front who posted 11 points and four steals. What's more, Cave also racked up three assists, the most she's had since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Gracie Woodward, who put up six points and 14 boards.

Madison County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in 16 consecutive matches.
