Hoggard had already won 19 in a row and they went ahead and made it 20 on Wednesday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Topsail Pirates. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 3-2 victory back in September.

Hoggard took Topsail into a fifth set where they got it done with a nine-point win. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-16, 21-25, 18-25, 15-6.

Norah Davis paced Hoggard's offense, picking up 19 kills. Davis got some help from Reed Gosselink and her 18 assists. Payton Jones controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Hoggard's victory bumped their record up to 24-3. As for Topsail, their loss ended a five-match streak of away wins and brought them to 17-6.

As of now, neither Hoggard nor the Pirates have any future games scheduled.
