Basketball Recap: Englewood Stem Comes Up Short

Englewood Stem was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Dyett Eagles and fell 66-26. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 651st, while the Eagles are ranked 71st).

Englewood Stem's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Dyett, they pushed their record up to 15-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Englewood Stem will challenge Payton College Prep at 5:00 p.m. on January 30th. As for Dyett, they will head out on the road to face off against Farragut at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
